    Position Summary

    Housed within the Innovation Division, the Admissions & Enrollment Program Manager plays a critical role in supporting the growth, strategy, and continued evolution of Slate for admissions and enrollment. This is a fully on-site position based in our New Haven, CT office.

    This position is focused on building practical, innovative resources that help institutions make the most of Slate. This person will develop queries, reports, portals, forms, communications, workflows, and other reusable resources while translating real admissions and enrollment challenges into thoughtful Slate solutions.

    Deep, hands-on Slate expertise is essential for this role. The ideal candidate has significant experience building and configuring within Slate and understands how its tools and features work together to support admissions and enrollment operations.

    The ideal candidate:

    • Knows Slate Deeply: You have extensive hands-on experience building and configuring in Slate and can independently develop, troubleshoot, and refine solutions across the platform.

    • Builds and Experiments: You enjoy creating resources, exploring different approaches, testing ideas, and finding new ways to solve problems within Slate.

    • Is Curious and Analytical: You dig into complex admissions and enrollment challenges and think critically about how they can be addressed through Slate.

    • Communicates Clearly: You can explain complex configurations and concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Build Advanced Slate Resources: Create reusable queries, reports, portals, forms, communications, dashboards, workflows, and other resources for the Admissions Suitcase Library.
       
    • Translate Admissions Needs into Slate Solutions: Turn common admissions and enrollment challenges into practical Slate solutions and best practices.
       
    • Maintain Product & Industry Expertise: Stay current on Slate functionality, best practices, and trends in admissions and enrollment.
       
    • Advise on Admissions & Enrollment Operations: Help institutions think through recruitment, communications, application management, review, decisions, and reporting.
       
    • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with product, development, marketing, and other teams to develop resources and support institutional success.
       
    • Surface Product & Community Insights: Share recurring needs, challenges, and innovative uses of Slate with internal teams.
       
    • Support Strategic Conversations & Events: Contribute Slate expertise to institutional conversations, demonstrations, RFPs, conferences, and Slate Summit.

    Required Qualifications

    • Location & Work Environment: This position is fully on-site in New Haven, CT, five days per week. This is not a remote or hybrid position. Candidates must be able to work from our New Haven office.

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree required.

    • Admissions Experience: 3–6 years of experience working in admissions, enrollment management, or enrollment technology.

    • Slate Expertise: Significant hands-on experience building and configuring within Slate for admissions and enrollment, including advanced experience with queries, reports, forms, communications, rules, workflows, and other core Slate functionality.

    • Operational Knowledge: Strong understanding of admissions processes, including prospect management, application management and review, communications, recruitment, and decision workflows.

    • Problem Solving: Ability to translate complex admissions and enrollment needs into thoughtful, scalable solutions within Slate.
    • Communication Skills: Ability to clearly explain complex systems and processes to both technical and non-technical audiences.

    • Presentation Skills: Comfortable leading live demonstrations and engaging audiences in strategic conversations about technology and admissions operations.

    • Project Management: Ability to plan, oversee, and execute multiple projects simultaneously.

    • Collaboration: Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

    • Travel: Willingness to regularly travel to conferences and industry events.

    Preferred Experience

    • Advanced Slate reporting, querying, and analytics

    • Slate portals and front-end customization

    • Creating reusable Slate resources, templates, or configurations

    • Basic HTML/CSS

    • Creating technical documentation, tutorials, or training materials

    • Sharing Slate expertise through presentations, workshops, or community engagement
