    Position Summary

    Technolutions is seeking an Advancement Senior Program Manager to support the continued growth and success of our expanding Slate for Advancement community. Housed within the Innovation Division, this role will help create and scale resources, guidance, and best practices for more than 130 higher education advancement institutions using Slate.

    This position is ideal for someone with direct experience working in a higher education advancement office and a strong understanding of advancement operations, systems, and industry best practice. The successful candidate will help translate that experience into practical, high-impact resources for clients, including documentation, example configurations, online learning content, videos, and other tools that help institutions succeed with Slate.

    In addition to resource creation, this role will contribute to client support and success, provide guidance to institutions adopting and expanding Slate for Advancement, and support broader strategic initiatives related to the continued growth of the advancement vertical.

    The Ideal Candidate Will Possess

    • Direct experience working in a higher education advancement office
    • Strong familiarity with advancement best practice, business processes, and supporting systems
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • The ability to synthesize complex concepts and explain them clearly to users of varying technical backgrounds
    • A strategic mindset and an instinct for scalable, reusable solutions
    • Curiosity, creativity, and sound judgment
    • The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively across teams
    • A strong interest in helping institutions succeed through better processes, better resources, and better use of technology

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Create scalable resources for Slate for Advancement clients, including written documentation, best-practice guides, example configurations, training materials, videos, and other educational content
    • Develop and expand examples within the Advancement Showcase database to help clients understand and apply best practices
    • Provide community-based support and guidance to advancement clients
    • Help clients interpret and apply advancement best practice within Slate
    • Conduct implementation support, foundational training, and ongoing enablement for advancement clients
    • Facilitate and contribute to online learning opportunities, including courses, recorded content, and Community Conversations
    • Serve as a functional resource on advancement-related use cases, workflows, and operational strategy
    • Liaise with internal teams to communicate advancement-related needs, context, and recommendations
    • Contribute ideas to the continued development and enhancement of Slate to better serve advancement clients
    • Participate in feature testing and provide feedback to development and product management teams
    • Support product demonstrations, onboarding efforts, and other initiatives tied to advancement growth
    • Assist the General Manager of Advancement with new and ongoing strategic priorities
    • Travel when necessary, including for industry conferences and Slate Summit
    • Work on-site in our New Haven, CT office five days per week
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years of relevant professional experience
    • Prior professional experience working in a higher education advancement office
    • Strong understanding of advancement operations, concepts, and best practices
    • Ability to quickly master and navigate a complex SaaS application
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively to a wide range of audiences
    • Ability to listen with empathy and explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical users
    • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a collaborative environment while also operating independently
    • A sense of humor, creativity, adaptability, and willingness to experiment and learn

    Preferred Experience

    • Prior experience using Slate, especially Slate for Advancement
    • Experience creating documentation, training content, videos, or other client-facing educational resources
    • Experience training users on complex software or CRM applications
    • Experience supporting software implementation, onboarding, or client success efforts
    • Familiarity with advancement CRM strategy, reporting, fundraising operations, gift processing, alumni engagement, or related functions
    • Some experience with, or desire to learn, HTML, CSS, or other front-end tools
